Robotic Operator I 

Job Description 
 

Summary: 

Responsible for operating Robotic Welder to weld various aluminum parts 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Strictly follow safety policies, procedures, rules and safe work methods, along with making safety suggestions to support continuous improvements in safety 

  • Inspect machines and recognize correct operation and condition 

  • Setting up jigs 

  • Adjusting weld positions in robot program as needed 

  • Moving parts to various areas as required 

  • Loading parts in jig 

  • Operating cranes to move finished parts 

  • Checking parts for quality welds 

  • Recording production data in computer and reporting quantities daily 

  • Basic troubleshooting of common robot issues 

  • Knowledge of power tools 

  • Read and follow a blueprint, as well as the ability to properly read and use a tape measure 

  • Regular and reliable attendance 

  • Working cooperatively with others to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement culture  

  • Other Duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Detail oriented and an effective time manager 

  • Individual shall possess average written and oral communication skills 

  • May be asked to become certified to operate a fork lift 

  • Basic hand and power tools

  • Ability to evaluate weld quality  

  • Complete work orders accurately 

  • Forklift certification
